So today mom was super nice and went to Old Navy to get the $1 flip-flops for our wedding.
I always wanted a flip-flop basket – I live in them, and I thought it would be nice.
We’re getting married here:

The ceremony (weather permitting) will be on the beach, and the reception will be in the pier house. I just realized that everyone will probably already be wearing sandals, not heels, given the location! Should I return the flip-flops? I feel so stupid!

@sunkissed19: good question, you are probably right about most people wearing sandals. Maybe you could exchange them and get sunglasses. i know you can buy them in bulk (Ebay, Amazon) . I would love an extra pair of flip flops, though :).

I would have worn nice shoes still to your wedding, so personally I’d love an excuse to change them for flip flops!

@trixiesrockets: I thought about the sunglasses too – I like the “Don’t Get Blinded By Our Love” sign that I’ve seen with them. Very cute!
@mypinkshoes: Yay! that’s good to hear. I think we might as well keep them. At the very least, people can snag a pair to take home.

@sunkissed19: Keep them! People will likely be wearing fancy sandles that aren’t overly comfortable… Changing into a pair of flip flops would be awesome!

I think its a nice idea. No offense but I would never wear flip flops to a wedding. 🙂 (They are just too informal for what I consider a formal occassion.) However, if it were on a beach, I would love to have the option of flip flops as a guest. I LOVE the idea!
