Honestly, you can do whatever you want.
Besides flip flops you also have a choice of a low heel shoe or even an awesome flat sandal. Once the ceremony is over, I will definitely be wearing flip flops.
I am sure whatever you choose will be great!
I would advise against it. Maybe go with flats or something with a kitten heel. I feel like flops might create a tripping hazard, if your dress has tons and tons of layers.
Can you wear a flat sandal? Flip flops make that noise - flip, flop, flip, flop.... If you don't think you'll notice it, then go for it.
I'll probably change into flip flops for the reception.
Im wearing flip flops for my ceremony- and i think if you want to you should do whatever you are going to be most comfortable in
My FI is only a mere inch taller than me- plus i'd rather not have my feet killing me by the time it's time to get down at the dance
I ordered ivory taffetta ones from dessy.com

There are lots of different colors, so you could do white/ivory/offwhite/wedding color, whatever you choose to sass up your looks- and other flip flop styles to choose from at super reasonable prices around $15- i've already received mine in the mail and am completely satisfied with them :)
I know lots of ladies have been going with flats since they are so popular these days. If you're unsure about the flip flops, I wouldn't hesitate to go with flats!
I am trying to find some decent flip flops, I'm thinking ones that are 3" platform. I am not paying 150 to have my dress hemmed like 2 inches! The dress is too long, so I'm just gonna buy flip flops, they are comfy, and I can find some stick-on jewelies to put on them for way cheap.
I hate heels, and can't go without someheight, which sucks. i wanted to just go barefoot, lol.
OMG I am totally boycotting heels for my wedding. Flip Flops all the way!! (And I'm almost an entire foot shorter than my fiance hehe) ...Who wants to deal with blisters and sore feet on your own wedding day? boooo
I'm wearing completely flat bridal slippers, that are as comfortable as bedroom slippers. (PIB) That may be an alternative to think about.
I changed into these halfwau through my reception. They were super comfy and high enough so that my dress wasn't dragging all over after being hemmed to fit with my heels. I got them at weddingish.com.
It's your wedding -wear whatever your heart desires. Plus there's really cute ones out there.
My best friend's wedding was last summer, I was a BM, and she had these AMAZING red heels. She claimed she broke them in, and she even had gel inserts for them. She took pictures for about an hour with them, and ended up wearing her back-up flip flops for the entire ceremony and reception.... hehe! Do what makes you happy, and I'm sure your bedazzled flip flops will be fabulous!!!
I wore white platform rocket dogs at my reception! Gotta love comfort (and because they were huge platforms, my dress didn't drag because it was hemmed for 4 inch heels!).
Think very carefully about wearing flip-flops for any part of your wedding ladies. A friend of mine wore some for her reception and when the dancing started....one of her flips flips flew off her foot! She twisted her andle and couldn't dance the rest of the nite!! I am going with more practical SNEAKERS...at least for the reception. There are tons of sties out that that sell adorably decorated wedding sneakers...even on ebay. Or if you are a DIY Bride...buy a pair of keds and hit Michael's...that's prolly what I will be doing.
As far as the hem issue...the owner of the dress shop that I bought my dress at (Alfred Angelo) said to simply buy some velcro at Michaels (the kind that has sticky tape on the back) and create a make-shift hem that can be put up after the reception and I take off my 3 3/4 inch heels and put on my sneakers..which will most likely have a 1 inch wedge...tops! Am really hoping that works!
Another friend of mine switched from heels to sneakers for her recption and didn't account for the hem and her dress DRAGGED all over the place. People stepped on it! And she had to stan on tippy toes for her 1st dance w/ her hubby cause he kept stepping on it too!

Can I wear flip flops to the ceremony? Pretty please?? I can't stand high heels, can't walk in them, and you can't see my shoes under my dress anyways! Would prefer to be comfortable....any one else comtemplating this?
