Haven't done it, but am loving the idea!!
I wonder if you could get little slippers in bulk for a reasonable price?
I know that I have friends who hate that thing between their toes and slippers would be nice and warm - not that it's cold in June!
As far as sizes, I would say a majority of Large and then some sm and med and maybe a few exl? What about cute little tubs to put them in? If people don't take them, you could return them and get your money back?
This is a really great idea!!
I ordered 72 pair in different sizes, off of ebay. I'm not sure hot to display them yet, but I'm think big baskets.
I love the look of these cute Chinese mesh slippers as an alternative to flip flops. If you order a case of 96, you get assorted colors and sizes and the cost ends up being a little over $2 a pair.
If you got some cute ones, that could be your favor you know?
This is something I am pondering.
We had 100 pair for 190 guests. 75 in women's sizes and 25 in mens. We probably could have use a few more, but not a ton. Hope that helps :)

I'm thinking about ordering flip flops for our guests to wear while dancing once their feet hurt.
If you did this, how many pairs did you order? And what sizes?
