I’m hoping some local girls can help me out here…
What’s an “average” budget for about 20 tables with centerpieces? I never really had a budget for flowers, because we were orginally going to go the DIY route, and do our own flowers. I met with a wonderful florist, and she actually suggest I throw my issue out there, so I can come to her with a realistic budget.
The Knot budget tool has me at about 2,100 (for all flowers…boquets, etc.)…and while I am concerned about staying within budget, I’ve noticed a lot of stuff seems to be running a little more expensive around here than what the knot suggests.
We’re looking at a shabby-chic asthetic…nothing grand…mason jars or flower boxes, possibly lanterns at every other table to bring costs down. Roses, rannuculas, berries, stock flowr, groups of baby’s breath, etc.
So, if you could please share you budget for flowers so far, and maybe some details about that you had/are having.

Our budget for centerpieces for 15 tables was aou $700. We are going the super simple route of just using hydrangeas. There is going to be one stem of hydrangeas in each of two small julep cups that will be flanking a 6 in pedestal bowl with 2 stems of hydrangea in it.
Are you doing personal flowers (ie. bouquets, corsages, etc) too or just centerpieces? Our overall budget including centerpieces is $1500 which includes my bouquet, 6 bridesmaids bouquets, 4 corsages and 10 bouts.
I think you could totally do your flowers for under $2100 especially if you are going the simpler route of shabby chic with flowers in mason jars. Think about using larger blooms like hydrangea because you need fewer stems to fill the same space.
Where are you located in NJ? Our florist has been WONDERFUL with working in our budget and I’d love to recommend him if you are in his area.

I’m in the Cherry Hill area. I’d love to hear who your florist is!

@hunnybunny1017: My flowers are costing me $2400. That includes all the bouquets (5 including mine) corsages (4), and bouts (about 9), ceremony flowers plus 15 centerpieces. I live in your area and I am using Mum’s the Word in Marlton. Maria is GREAT to work with, I just had my last fitting and she made a trial bouquet for me to take to the dress shop. Shes very personable, and she knew just what I wanted when I showed her my dress and colors.
PM me if you want any more details!

We’re using Especially for You. We are working with Steve at the Monroe Twp location but they also have a Freehold location (closer to you?) that is run by his mother. It’s a family business and he has been awesome with taking my inspiration ideas and making them work within our SMALL budget. He was also very helpful in suggesting alternative flowers that were similar in look but kinder to the wallet. They are a neighborhood florist that do weddings but aren’t specifically a wedding and event florist. I found this to be key when we were interviewing people because the specialized “wedding florists” tended to be way more expensive.
Good luck in your search!

IDK what the average price would be, but look into Wegman’s in Cherry Hill. We’re using them for our flowers (5 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, 5 Groomsmen bouts, my bouquet, FI’s bout, and about 10 assorted bouts and corsages, plus Blessed Mother flowers, for $600 total). They did my friend’s wedding and it was gorgeous, and they’re easy to work with.
