I think centerpiece costs really vary pretty widely depending on who your florist is -- big city or not, small shop or not, experienced or just starting out. I'd recommend pricing it out with a number of profesisonals!
I'm in Pittsburgh, and the quote from the exclusive florist that my venue uses has dinner table centerpieces that range from $75 (low arrangements) to $150 (high candelabra draped with flower garlands) to $200 (high arrangements). I find this insane, and will therefore be doing my own candle-based centerpieces :)
Ugh!! I meet with a florist soon and I am dreading just talking about pricing, because I will have 8 bridesmaids, my own bouquet, ceremony flowers PLUS 35 centerpeices!
.... btw : its going to be a montreal florist... so that will make a difference too!

Hello! Im getting married in July 2010 and am using my beautiful venue's candelabra's that are ivory mosaic candle holders with a stainless steel bowl frame on the top for flowers.
I want flowers that are fun, and vibrant in colors, and that dangle down.... also with a little bit of elegance, such as beads of jewels...
We have about 35 tables so with sticking to flowers are in season etc. what is a usual average cost of floral centerpieces?
