- Wedding: June 2012
So, our wedding will be in Blanco, but our florist is from San Marcos (my hometown, about 30 miles away). The florist, Maxine at The Floral Studio, has great reviews on the wedding websites (can’t remember which ones now) and great pictures of her work on facebook, too. I’m so excited about this estimate – I just have to share! I also included some of my inspiration pictures that I showed her at the bottom.
We’re doing all roses for the ceremony (no fillers or greenery), and a mix of seasonal yellow (and a few white) flowers (roses, lilies, sunflowers, hydrangeas, etc) for the reception.
Here’s the breakdown:
Bridal bouquet: $80
Toss bouquet: $35
MOH and BM bouquets: $35 each
Rose petals for flower girls: $7 each (2 FGs)
Boutonieres: $8.99 each (10 needed)//$5.99 for RB
Bouquets for my mom and FMIL: $19.95 each
Corsages for grandmothers: $27.95 each
To line the aisle at the ceremony (outdoor in a park), we’re renting 16 6″ pots of yellow mums at $15/plant.
12 centerpieces will be in 5″x5″ cube vases. Seasonal yellow mix at $24.95/centerpiece.
3 centerpieces will be in tall vases with dyed yellow baby’s breath. $60/centerpiece.
White roses for top of cake: $35
There is a grand stairwell with an awfully naked banister. Her idea is to loosely wrap the banister in yellow ribbon with 4 small yellow arrangements evenly spaced along the railing – I love it! $140 for this.
The piece de resistance – she’s going to make 2 ft tall letters (J and R for our first names) from yellow carnations to hang on the doors of the main entryway to the ballroom. $75/letter.
After tax and delivery/set-up ($60), the total comes to $1725. She also accepts a GoLocal card which gives us a 10% discount, bringing the total to $1554. Our budget was $1600, so this is perfect. I’m so excited! I was planning to try my hand at DIYing the flowers at first, but I’ve been overwhelmed by everything and I’m so glad we can afford a pro florist.
bride’s bouquet inspiration
BM inspiration (MOHs will have white/yellow mix)
Bouts with spray roses (and FH loves the black wrap for some reason, so we’re doing that on the bouts)
Potted plants lining the aisle…
And finally, initals on the door! (Ours will be yellow, of course)
