I’m having trouble getting straitforward quotes from floral designers/stores in the DC area through email. I don’t have TIME to call everyone and have a 1 hour conversation with each of them just to find out how much an aisle floral bouquet costs. Their estimates are ranging from $25 to $100 and no one seems to want to answer a direct question. One actually responded thru email telling me that a carnation would cost more than a rose.
<< REALLY? wow. >>
Can anyone suggest a florist you thought was friendly, straitforward, and knows how to use email?

I booked with Growing Wild. She has pricing estimates on her website, and was fantastic to work with. Her farm is located in Delaplane, but she meets with brides in Alexandria to make it easier and more convenient.
Other florists I liked a lot were Petal’s Edge in Alexandria, L’Artisan Lily in McLean, and Davinci Floral in Silver Spring.

I also met with Growing Wild, but she wasn’t as responsive to my vision as I would have liked and couldn’t get the flowers I wanted (tiger lilies). She was great on price, but took forever to send me a quote and wasn’t as good of a personality fit.
I ended up going with Twinbrook in Fairfax County. They were so positive and easy to work with. They were a little more expensive, but they worked with me to find a way to make cuts that didn’t impact the vision. The flowers they had prepared for another wedding were beautiful and they are so experienced.
