kitty_cupcake:  There is a huge price range depending on what kind of flowers, if they’re in season, etc.  Also, do you want to use a florist or purchase wholesale and DIY?  I personally find the DIY route to be extremely cost effective and really easy (one of the easiest DIYs of my wedding).  I spent a total of $320 for bouquets, aisle decor, petals for my tables, etc.

Your best bet is just to contact florists, tell them what flowers you want, and let them give you quotes. It can vary widely. Like housebee, I’m going to have almost no flowers at the wedding, so I’ll only spend $200-$300 on them. But if you want floral decorations or centerterpieces or flowers on the cake or any of that stuff, it’ll start to really add up, especially in NYC.

Use this to estimate: http://www.corvallisbride.com/estimator.htm

…but remember that everything’s going to cost you more in NYC than it would in Corvallis.

kitty_cupcake:  where in NYC are you? I live in Brooklyn and I got an amazing deal on flowers. I wanted something amazing but without the hefty pricetag. I had 17 tall centerpieces, 4 BM bouquets, my bridal bouqet, flower girl basket, 8 boutineres, 3 corsages, they also threw in an arrangement for our sweetheart table and 2 baskets for the church and decorated the pews. I spent under $3K for everything. I attached some flowers so you can see what you are getting from them. I was really really happy with them.

also keep in mind that price depends on the type of flowers you want.

kitty_cupcake:  thank you, I would suggest checking out your local newspapers, sometimes florists have deals, thats how I found my florist. But if your willing to take a trip to Brooklyn, you should visit Henry’s florist in Bay Ridge. I loved them and they would deliver to Queens. Its not that far.And they really work with your budget.

kitty_cupcake:  I’ve seen a huge range in floral prices on the Bee. I’m paying $2200 for 10 centerpieces (4 tall and 6 short), bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutinnieres, 3 corsages, one flower girl pomander, one mini boutinniere for the ring bearer, 3 other arangements for the gift/escort card table, and cake flowers. I personally didn’t want to skimp on the flowers. I am so incredibly excited about them! The flowers are all ivory, blush or a combination of both with hydrangeas, roses, spray roses, dahlias, orchids and rununculus.

Daizy914:  Wow I think you got a great deal for the amount and size of your flowers!

Your best option would be to use something like thumbtack.com once you know what you want and let local florists bid on your order. That’s what I did for my flowers and DJ and have ended up with wonderful fairly priced people.
