I personally love yellow with b/w. Lime green is also very popular. Pink looks nice if you want a more feminine look.
My wedding is also B & W and I refused to have roses and no pastels or pale colors. I wanted bright and dark....I requested hot pink and purple and we are using dahlias and rannuculus and hydrangas (only dark ones) and fiddle head ferns and other such flowers. Everything is going to pop!

I agree - lime green would be really cute. I got married last September and used spider mums, pom pom mums and hydrangeas. the spider mums and hydrangeas are huge, too, so you don't need a ton to make a bouquet... money saver!!

I think green hydrangeas/orchid will bring out the blk and wht. My wedding is in sept too. Also during that month people like to use orange a lot, but it might be too dark when its next to black.
Those are some ideas worth looking into. I am definitely going to research that. FI and I agreed that red roses are out. I don't even want my flower girls with red rose petals. I want things to be picture perfect. Red is the normal color you know. I never thought of lime green or even to consider hydrangas or rannuculus blooms. I am going to google some floral ideas with you guy's suggestions. Please keep the ideas coming. I am definitely looking to save some money because we are on a very very tight budget and we are paying for this wedding mostly by ourselves. Thanks for the help thus far.
I adore black and cameo pink...that's a gorgeous combo..very vintage..Like a cameo if you will. I'm tossing in aqua to spice things up.
Or you could mix ALL SHADES of pink...bright, pale, coral..that would absolutely look incredible!

There are so many different colors that would look amazing, I really like the yellow & pink combination, and purple looks awesome too!

I think that hot pink would look really beautiful with black and white, but if you wanted to stick with just black and white, I really love love love white anemones.

I would just pick your favorite color. Black and white goes with everything and any color would pop. I am getting married in August and my accent color is purple. Lime green is very popular right now. Bright colors always look really nice next to black and white linens.

and i realllllly love this last one. its not your typical boquet ( i know you said no red roses, these are black :) ) and i think its really bold and fun

I did a mix of purples/pinks to add some "pop" to my black/white tables. It worked GREAT!
Here's what we did....
One centerpiece had strands of orchids (2 purple, 2 fuschia) wrapped in a 12' cylinder. It was filled with water, had a think layer of black rocks on the bottom, and a submersible LED light at the base (in the rocks).
Another centerpiece was a set of 3 square vases (2 were 6" tall, the other was slightly taller). Each had a different color (varying from light purple, dark purple, and fuschia). They were each filled with black rocks about half-way, to incorporate the black.
The last was a tall pilsner vase with a purple kissing ball (carnations) on top.
Hope that helps spark some ideas for you and your decor. =)
I looove hot pink flowers with a black and white theme!!!
I'm a B&W girl as well, and our accent colors are teal and red. So we'll probably be doing white/red flowers with teal embellishment rather than going for teal flowers. You can do a lot with ribbon and chargers!
The best part about doing black and white is that you can pretty much pick ANY color you want! I'm very into blues and purples, and also got married in September. Hot pinks are always fun and really pop with black and white!

I had a white and black wedding (with turquoise accents). My flowers were all white though, cala lilies and carnations wrapped in black ribbon. It was absolutely gorgeous, but I don't have any pictures yet, boo!

Since you're against red... and it is b/w I would go totally modern and off the wall w/ the floral arrangements. Like... purple orchids... burnt orange isn't red, but would be way appropriate for fall... those cool green ball-shaped flowers (IDK what they're called). But yeah, I'd vote green, deep orange, or purple. In my opinon I don't like yellow and black... I associate a lot of yellow flowers w/ sickly grandmother-like arrangements... hot pink & black, eh... over done. But to each their own!

Hi Ladies,
I have been going over and over again in my head what colors I could incorporate into my black and white themed wedding. I AM DEAD SET AGAINST RED ROSES! Everyone uses red with Black and white and I really don't want that. Does anyone have any ideas? My wedding is in September. So what do you think is appropriate and would make everything "POP".
