You should contact Karen Chang at http://www.huckleberrykaren.blogspot.com  While planning her wedding she was one of the regular posters on the Northern California chat board of The Knot.  Alot of us Nor Cal Knotties are using her.  So far her reviews have been stellar and her rates can’t be beat.  The only thing is, she’s a teacher too, so there are times during the year that she is really busy.  Check out her blog and tell her Griffen sent you ๐Ÿ™‚  HTH!

peaches – I second Karen Chang, which I got the suggestion from Miss Penguin.  After meeting her, we knew that she would do a great job…and booked with her.  She’s really nice and patient.  I don’t really know much about flowers and wasn’t quite sure what I wanted.  She was really patient and went over pics and gave great suggestions.

griffen – are you using karen for your wedding too?

peaches – Karen’s also hosting a bridal fair in SF in Feb.  This would be a good opportunity to see her work.

I going to try to check it out to see more of her work, as well as other vendors.  ๐Ÿ™‚

griffen – i concur!  are you going to stop by her bridal fair?

Just in case Karen doesn’t work out, I highly recommend Malak from Rosies and Posies… http://www.rosiesandposies.com. I got 3BM bouquets, my bouquet, a toss bouquet, six boutonnieres, two corsages, 20 centerpieces, two large altar arrangements, one large arch arrangement, and cake flowers, all in roses and hypericum berries, for $1900. She did an amazing job and everyone said the flowers were gorgeous. Plus, we got free use of short pillars and urns.

She did a free sample of my centerpieces, and when I wanted a last minute bridal bouquet for a photo session (literally gave her 15 minutes notice) she made it perfectly and gave it to me for half price!

She works out of Campbell and San Jose.

Another cost-friendly suggestion: I am using Karen from Floral Occoasions (out of Lafayette) she is super talented, but works out of her home, so cuts down on a lot of the costs.

I am getting: my bouquet, 4 BM bouquets, 2 mom bouquets, 10 bouts, petals, 6 centerpieces (hydrangea/hypericum – very simple) pew decor (SO CUTE hanging thingies with hydrangea) 2 big arrangements for buffet, toss bouquet, free delivery.

all for $1100.  SERIOUSLY.

she can be reached at: <span class=”yshortcuts” style=”background: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; cursor: hand; border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed”>925-200-3713 (she has a website, but I can’t seem to find it!)  PM me for more info.
