I currently have light pink and purple gerbera daisies .I now have decided that I think i want roses incorporated into the wedding.
Do you think gerbera daisies look best with closed roses or open roses?
I just cant decide! I like the open roses better than the closed but then again they kind of over power the gerberas.
Does anyone have any suggestions or photos of gerberas with closed vs open roses?
Also, do i have to stick to one certain kind of flower for the wedding and reception? should i decorate with both roses and gerberas or should i just stick to gerberas?
Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this and hopefully give some input!

I actually like the idea of open roses with the gerberas if you’re going to work roses in, because then they’re sort of a similar size/texture and might complement one another better–IMO it might not look as good to have these broad, beautiful open daises with bumps of closed roses, I mean it could be an interesting contrast to highlight the differences but I would still think it would be really pretty to have open ones. They’re both such beautiful flowers though you can’t really go wrong. And there’s definitely nothing saying that you can’t have one certain kind of flower! Roses and gerberas will be so summery and bright, they’ll look beautiful.

I got my flowers done at Michaels Flower Girl. They have an array of arrangements that you can view to see what you may or may not want in your bouquet.
Here’s the link.
Let me know what you think.

I love the open roses with the gerbers. I have been considering doing this for my wedding. Thank you for sharing your pictures. I am now leaning even more in this direction.

I concur – the open roses look the best. 🙂

You can mix and match flowers however you like. It’s YOUR day to make your own, no one says you have to follow any rules.

Open roses! They are so much fuller and add a lot of texture.

That is going to be beautiful! I never was a major fan of daisies, because of my mother (it seems as though I have inherited not only flower taste from her, but Tex-Mex food, and the color hot pink), but I think it looks absolutely amazing in those colors! Great job!
