I have no idea what the "proper" etiquette for this is, but, fwiw, my daughter is the flower girl in my friend's wedding in May and I am paying for her dress. The bride is wearing a lace gown. She said I could pick the gown but requested that my daughter wear lace, as well. I am fine with this situation, since dresses for little girls are not all that expensive, and since my friend is in Florida and I am in Pennsylvania, it's easiest to just let me do the shopping.
So this has nothing to do with flowergirls, but I am a future Mrs. Burns as well :)

My FH's two little cousins (6 and 5) are the flower girls for our wedding. They live in montana, Im in oregon. How do i pick out their dresses? Who pays for them? Do they HAVE to match me?
