I was chatting a girlfriend who is recently engaged and she asked me this question and I had no idea how to answer….what if somebody was thinking about having a child free ceremony & reception but waas thinking about having a flower girl or ring bearer?

It is perfectly acceptable for the flower girl and ring bearer to be the only children at the reception. It is also perfecty acceptable for them to stay for the meal only, then be taken home or elsewhere by their parents and miss the rest of the reception.

waddle: I am having a child free wedding, I have 2 flower girls and their brother will pass out programs and escort guests to seats. All 3 of them will come to dinner and then their cousin on the other side of the family is coming to pick them up. I however, allowed their parents to make that decision, I told them they are more than welcome to stay as they are an exception and in the wedding. They told me they wanted to party with the adults without them and would get them picked up, haha!
I think its perfectly acceptable, they are in the bridal party.
