I'd like to use deep blues and purples for my flower arrangements/bouquets... but I still want them to reflect southern flowers as I live in GA.  Any ideas or suggestions?  Also, if I do my bridesmaids' bouquets in the blues and purples, can I still do mine with white/ivory flowers? Or will that look bad?  Btw, my main color is teal/turquoise... the girls will be wearing dessy 2053 in black lace with oasis underneath/sash.  The blues and purples are accent colors.  I'd also like to wrap the bouquets in ivory or teal handkerchief/ribbon if that matters.  Thanks!

Yes you can definitely still do white/ivory for yourself and colorful flowers for your bridesmaids!

Just wanted to share this photographer's wedding with you since her theme was vintage peacock teal and very southern! http://www.jasminestarblog.com/index.cfm?postID=966&virginia-wedding-katelyn-michael

My family is from south georgia and I think jasmine or jessamyn would be lovely and roses since that area is known for beautiful roses

You also could add spanish moss for visual interest or have your bridesmaids carry magnolias as something different

sounds very pretty though whatever you pick

@kate169:  Thanks!  So funny that you posted that link as I have it saved on my favorites page and have become a fan of her entire blog!  Lol.  Katelyn James is awesome with all of the little details... it's her wedding in that link.

@unixfairy: thanks for the advice!  I hope it's pretty... I'm trying really hard. :)

@southernvintagebride:  Yeah she is pretty awesome, she is one of my photography idols and the first person who comes to mind when I hear peacock or teal!
