Weddingbee boards

Okay...so...I am a budget conscious and mainly DIY bride.  I have months still before the big day, but I'm already stressing myself out a little about the flowers.

The wedding colors are Black and White, with Red and Silver accents...the theme is Vintage Hollywood.  The ceremony will be played out like an old Movie Premier (think the movie premier party scene in Inglorious Bastards), and the reception is a fast forward to the awards show.

Anyways...the flowers I would most like to work with are Red Roses and White Calla Lillies.  It is currently my intention to order the flowers in bulk and have them shipped to me and then put together the bouquets, centerpieces, corsages and bouts, with the assistance of my bridal party and SMOB (step-mother of the bride).  I know this is a lot of work, but the SMOB and one of the bridal party members both have plenty of experience with flower arrangments, so the task isn't the stressful part...at least not yet...it's more about how to structure them, and how to get the look I want, and the most bang for my buck.

Here are the issues...

1.) My Bouquet:  Pretty sure that I want a mixture of both the roses and the lillies in mine...noone is actually WEARING red other than my Groom...his vest and tie will be red...so I'd like to have a red in my bouquet for sure...I just don't know how any of each I want in this single bouquet...  If you have used this combo, please please please send pictures and info on how many you used.  I also intend to through a few of those blingy little jewels in some of the roses...

2.) MOH/Bridesmaids/Junior Bridesmaid(s)/Flower Girl(s) Bouquets:  This one is constantly driving me batty...so many questions here...  My original idea was to have my MOH, BMs and JBMs carrying bouquets very similiar to mine, just smaller and with no bling in the roses... however...after countless hours of online searching an reading, I can't make up my mind.  In some articles I've read about vintage hollywood themes, people suggest presentation bouquets rather than the more modern rounded deals like I'm considering...  SO there are multiple questions in this area...  a.) should I make the MOH's bouqet different from the BM's...I figured maybe making the MOH a little bigger, then the BMs all the same, the JBMs a little smaller, and then the FG even smaller still...but all with the same style b.) should I go with rounded bouquets like mine for all of them or should I use the presentation style? c.) should the FG carry petals or a little bouquet...originally was thinking petals in a basket, but I have seen a few pictures of the FG's with little mini bridal bouquets and think it's super cute...

3.) Centerpieces...originally,  I liked the idea of having some tall and some short centerpieces for the reception, however as I search, I realize that the tall centerpieces will require a vase I just don't think I want to spend money on...I have found some in expensive short vases that I could use...but the tall ones are just so much heavier and thus more spendy...  I also contemplated, as another way to save, having my own bouquet as the centerpiece for the sweetheart table where the groom and I will be...and having my other bridesmaids use their bouqyets as some of the centerpieces as well...

I am sure I have more issues with flowers besides these, but I realize this post is a major ramble fest already...so I will leave it at this for now...
