Last night I woke up in the middle of the night in the midst of a nightmare about my flowers! A real nightmare! My florist, who is a friend of my in-laws, is pretty snooty and made it pretty clear she doesn't like hot pink. My fiance says he really likes them, but when I pushed farther he said he probably would have chosen an accent color, but now seeing them likes them. My flowers as obviously hot pink roses, but the rest of the wedding is navy, light green, and hints of hot pink. We'll have about 30 tables just like this. So, please be honest-what do you think? Too hot pink???
By the way, this is my flower trial. I still have until July to finalize.
If you only have touches of pink in accents elsewhere, then this is not too much pink! However, if this looks exactly like your bouquet, I might add in a few accent colors into the centerpieces to make your bouquet stand out a bit. Beautiful flowers though!
You did a great job. I think they are beautiful an stay as they are.
What color table linens are you doing?
I think it's looks great, btw! And I'm not a super hot pink fan typically ;) I vote STAY!
gorg! especially love what the florist has going on with the stems at the bottom, too.
I love it! They look beautiful. If you have hot pink table cloths, then its too much. Otherwise, its just the right pop of pink.
Thanks, everyone! We're doing white linens with lime green napkins or maybe navy if I get more daring. My bouquet is going to be white and the bm is going to be similar to the centerpieces, but a lot smaller and possibly a couple different flowers.
Well in that case - they will be great and just the right amount of pink!
I think they look great! don't worry about what other people think...if you like it they'll eventually love it...lol
If you like them AND your fiance likes them - then keep them and don't worry about Ms. Snooty McIHatePink. They're lovely.
I just recently had a nightmare about my flowers too...it was horrible!
There aren't any navy flowers (right?) so go with your pink and green (stems and leaves) look!
Keep it the way it is.
(But consider navy blue table linens because that would look so cool!) /endthreadjack
I think they are very pretty! When we were planning our wedding I told the florist to use "soft pink" roses as accent colors in our centerpieces because I was afraid of the hot pink. The day of the wedding they turned out to be hot pink but I was actually happy they went against what I said, I liked it way better :)

They look nice but i echo the comment about navy linens. For me personally, I would add a bit of an accent colour as it is too much hot pink.
I think they're really nice - I was expecting something crazy. But they're lovely! I don't even think it's too much hot pink - it's not like the centerpiece is huge and will take over the entire table with its pinkness.
I had one too! A flower nightmare that is! I dreamed that I showed up at the wedding and the florist handed me a HUGE bouquet...I'm talking 3 feet by 3 feet HUGE!
I got upset but everyone kept saying "that's what you ordered" so I kept it and when I walked down the aisle everyone was laughing at me and making jokes about how I thought I was "fancy" but I really looked stupid.
Lol.
I woke up having an anxiety attack about the flowers. It took me 2 days to realize it was really only a dream, and in reality, my 9-inch red rose bouquet isn't going to make any waves!
Your centerpieces are gorgeous! I really like them, and I'm not just saying that because I know how you feel. I really do think they are very pretty.
I think it will be a wonderful pop of color with the other things you mentioned :)
I think it is so elegant! Why do you listen to others?!?!? If you love it then that is all that matters, don't doubt yourself!
I voted for stay--I think they're really pretty! I love the bold color!
They look great. What color will your tablecloths be? What about having votives in pale green cups and navy tablecloths?
They look great, especially with the lime napkins - I would consider trying to work in some navy somewhere on the table, but not necessarily with your flowers.
Personally - I <3 Hot Pink, but as long as you and your fiance are happy, then go for it!
I really like them, but I agree with the others about the linens... I think a navy linens with lime green napkins with hints of pink on the paper goods (place cards if you're using them, menus etc) to tie it all in...
Oh on second thought if you're going with white because they come with the venue or you're worried about navy making things look too dark, what about two extra napkins for each centerpiece to be placed on, one in navy and one in green and then layer them so the green is on the bottom as a square and the blue is on top but turned to a diamond (so both colors show, if that makes sense) Or even an awesome green and blue scrapbook paper design, to tie it all in, with maybe pink and blue ribbon or raffia around the napkins??
I'm getting to excited about your color scheme. HA :)
I love them, but I also love pink! I think if all the other colors are more subtle, the centerpieces will add the perfect pop of color to lighten everything up!
Don't change them! They look amazing! And its your wedding not the the florists!
I love the hot pink roses! However, I would do some light green roses too...on ivory linens that would be really pretty.
Good luck!
