okay i was all for you carrying purple flowers until you posted the peonies :D... lol i say carry the peonies wrapped in a purple ribbon!!! but you could always use them in silk.
Okay, just based on the pictures you posted, I actually like the blended mix you posted with purple, green, white for the bridesmaids. Then I like you having all purple for your bouquet. I think the bride having all white is so typical which is why I like you having all purple. The reason I don't like the BM's having all white is because of the dresses. I think a little bit of color would be nice and sometimes white can make other ivory or white colors look a little dingy or dirty. Just my opinion :)
I also agree that you should carry purple and the BMs white or the mix. For some reason, I'm not crazy about the white on white thing as in pics everything just blends together. I do love peonies, though and if you are going to carry white, I definitely vote for those. Maybe you could mix in some purple with the white peonies? Like orchids or iris?
I think that the white with you would look very classy. The purple are cute but better for BMs.
What if you carried a purple/white mix? I really like th last bouquet pictured. I think BMs should carry a smaller version of purple/white mix too. I'm all about the bride getting as much white as she can on the day when she has every reason to! I think mixing colors would add a nice texture that wouldn't "pop" as much as an all purple bouquet would. (:
I like the way it looks when a bride has bright flowers, but if you like the look of the white/ivory then go for that!
Either the white or the purple calla's for you and the mix for the bridesmaids. I think the mix would go better for them since the majority of their dress is going to be eggplant and the purple would just blend in. I also don't like the white for the bridesmaids because of the coloring. The mix would add to the dress

I am trying to decide what kind of flowers to use for our wedding. Just setting the stage....Our wedding is Jan 2 in chicago.
My dress is a ivory dress with some lacy/beading on it
the bm dresses are pictured below, they are however going to be Ivory on top and Eggplant on the bottom.
My first thought was to have the girls carry white flowers and for me to carry purple flowers (pictures below)
The more thought I gave it, I was thinking I didn't want the flowers to be what pops when you look at me in my dress and how elegant ivory flowers will be. I absolutly LOVE these white peonies (not sure about getting them in jan) but how beautiful and elegant is that! then i'd have the bridesmaids with the pruple flowers maybe like the pic below
my mom has been telling how much better the purple flowers for me would look would look.
Thoughts?
