Petal not popular in our church because of the clean up factor. Pity, they are cute! Gonna make poms from fresh roses & carnations instead. Best of luck!

I’m not having a flower girl, but I do know that if you want a large abundance of petals to drop, I would buy roses, in the color you want, in a large quantity.  You could always stop in to your local flowershops and ask what they’re roses cost per stem.  Rose petals are extremely easy to remove (hold the whole head of the flower and pop the stem right off at the base) and the petals fall apart perfectly.  It would be a quick DIY project for the night before the wedding (grab a plastic bag, cut a couple holes in it with a hole punch, fill the bag with petals, and pop in the fridge!).  Even stopping in to a grocery story that sells roses by the dozen might work for you.

Good luck.  🙂
