I’ve been looking for unity ceremony ideas as an alternative to the unity candle. I like the unity candle but I wanted to explore a few other ideas before we decided. I’ve heard an idea about using a flower press. Basically the ideas is that both families, typically the mothers. bring a flower with them as they enter and place the flowers into two separate vases. Then later the bride and groom exchange their family flowers and use a flower press to place the flowers into a frame. I like the idea because you can then hang the family flowers in your home a reminder of two families mergering. Has anyone heard or seen this? Thoughts? Also once you press the flowers during the ceremony, then what?
