Your flowers sound lovely! I used a lot of garden roses, too. Honestly, $1,000 for all that doesn’t seem like too bad a deal. I used a florist from my hometown (about an hour away from the city I live in) to save money and mine still came to over $500. I had my bridal bouquet, which was pretty big and made of garden roses and calla lilies interspersed with feathers and hypericum berries; 4 small bridesmaid bouquets, which had garden roses, pincushions, spray roses, billy balls, and hypericum berries; 2 mothers corsages that were pretty simple; and 7 boutonnières which were just the berries attached to a white peacock feather. That’s it. Compared to that, I don’t think you did too badly. I was a little squicky about the cost of flowers too, but then I figured that those were what I really wanted and in the end, when I see how gorgeous they are in the wedding photos, I’m glad we shelled out for them.

$1000 seems like alot to me because I refuse to spend more than a few hundred on flowers. I wouldn’t say it’s uncommon to spend $1000+ on flowers, it really just depends on your priorities. If flowers are a big deal to you, then go for it! If you feel like you could use that money elsewhere, find a cheaper option.

I got a quote from one place that was 728 for A LOT less flowers than you just mentioned. However, I didn’t go with that florist.  I found a cheaper one that I like. That being said, you are getting a lot of flowers, and your flowers include hydrangeas and orchids, which are known for being costly. I think the price is probably fair. If you aren’t sure, do what I did–shop around:)
