Welcome! Depends on the flower. But for a rough estimate, I think you could use rice to determine how much will be the right amount per bag and then add that up to get your totals. Or, even just pick up a small bag at the store in a few months and see how far it goes. I tried to find a site that said how much they put in each bag, but couldn’t find anything specific. But I found these that are really cute: http://www.americanmeadows.com/FlowerSeedPackets/SpecialOccasionMiniPackets/WeddingDaisyPackets.aspx

Thanks for the website!  I would think that more people would take them home if they were pre-packaged (I am envisioning people walking past a line on their way home and maybe not wanting to stop to take the time to fill them).

I like the rubber stamped image though, that sounds like a nice touch.

Ok, what about this idea, too over the top or just plain tacky? including mini shovels? im talking dollar store quality plastic ones. not real expensive ones.  it might tie the theme together nicely–and including them may make tying the actual seed sachets easier…you know wraping a tie around the shovel’s handle…

or did i just dive headfirst into tackiville…

FI and I received flower seed favors at a wedding last year.  They were black eyed susan seeds and were sealed in small plastic pouches with a label and their monogram stamped on the label.  The idea was good, but they did not include an explanation of why they chose the seeds they did or about planting instructions, two things I wish they had added to the label.  I also wanted to mention that A LOT of these were left behind by guests, probably because they were so small, only about 2 by 3 inches.  I would think about making them at least 3 by 5 inches or about the size of a traditional seed packet so they aren’t set aside or misplaced.  And it would be a nice touch to include growing instructions and why this type of flower or seed is significant to you as a couple.
