I don’t know what to do for flowers! it’s really important for me that the room looks really good but I don’t have many ideas yet… i know which colours I want to go for but when I went to speak to the florist I didn’t feel very comfortable that she understood what I am looking for… I have been assured that she has done loads of other family friends weddings and that she is a superstar but I am not convinced… I am going back there in July so if I don’t like what she comes up with I need some new ideas!
does anyone have some ideas? I am getting married in a country manor house… i was thinking of going for different shades of pinks (not too dark) and white… i can’t have peopnies as apparently they’re not in season here in September so the only flowers I really know are roses and hydrangeas… does anyone know which other flowers I can add?
i wanna go for 2 styles, one a middle sized centerpiece and the other a taller centerpiece both with little candles around…
here is a pick of the tupe of colours I am thinking of:
and i am thinking of something in this style but not sure what the flowers are:

I found searching the internet for flowers overwhelming! I knew what I wanted the ‘main’ flowers to be, but didn’t know much else.
I’d recommend going to a Barnes and Noble or Borders or what have you and looking through some of the gardening/flower books.
Write down the flowers you like and (sometimes I think more importantly) the things you don’t like and meet with your florist again.
The sould be able to recommend things in similar shapes or styles and tell you what will be in season, or if there is a filler/cheaper flower that has the same feel or look to it.

I’m getting married the same day! Different style- but- Dahlias and mums (which are much prettier than you think) are in season in Sept. They are beautiful and can be arranged in many ways. Add roses in and you can create a very beautiful country mannor theme.

Talk to a florist. Explain the colors and feel you are looking for and the prace you want to stay under and they can do a lot. Infact, I have found that if you let a florist do their magic and let their creative mind go they can usually come up with better arrangements than you would have chosen for yourself! I think those flowers do look really pretty but if you still aren’t sure, just set up an appt!
