I will always vote real – if you are putting the bouquet together the day of or even the day before, unless you buy flowers that are half dead already, they will last plenty long enough for your wedding day.

I imagine making a broach/silk flower bouquet like your inspiration pic would take quite a bit of time, and might not be cheap, given that silk flowers are fairly expensive.

I did a test run of my DIY real flower centrepieces on the weekend, spent $60 on enough flowers for almost 2 centrepieces, and they are still alive and beautiful looking today. Here is a pic of them the day I did them. I don’t have one from today, but it essentially looks the exact same, 3 days later.

My aunt is a florist- I was planning on doing a bouquet very very close to your inspiration- due to time constraints and well living in Texas and having an outdoor wedding in July (high is 104 Saturday)- she advised me against the peonies And highly suggested that I go silk.  Based on your wedding- you should be ok for them to last all day 🙂

@TattooedChick23:  You can definitely do them the night before – for a friends wedding last July, we did them the night before and kept them in the fridge to keep fresh, however you don’t HAVE to do that. As long as they are kept in water, in a relatively cool and shady area, they will be totally fine. 🙂

You should be fine with 2 hours- that’s nothing for them :). I think the will look gorgeous!
