hey! that's what i'm doing too! i was worried about the flowers touching the cake as well. what the florist told me (i'm not diy handy like the rest of the bees) is that they have a little dish/pedestal thing on which they sit the green oasis that the daisies are stuck on. the dish is then put on the top of the cake. i believe they're using mini gerbera for that. don't know any sources for silk ones though.

So we are doing a simple 3 tiered cake that we are going to decorate with gerba daisies in various colors. I've been to a couple different craft stores looking for silk flowers but the only gerba daisies I can find are huge! I need smaller, more life like looking ones. Any ideas? Any good online stores for inexpensive silk flowers. I would do real but I'm leery because I want to be absolutely sure the are clean and pesticide free so I think silk will just be easier.
