Pin-on corsages would be fine for the women, I think (I'm guessing what you're opposed to are the prom-like wrist corsages).
I would ask them what they prefer, if they'd like a corsage or a small bouquet.
You could do a mini bouquet for them. Here is a pic of what we did for the mob and mog.

I've decided that I'd like to get flowers for our ceremony readers to wear, as well as our bridesmaids and groomsmen. We have one man and 2 women. For the man, we'll get a boutonniere...no issue there. For the women however, I'm torn. I unfortunately do not like corsages...at all! It's kind of one of my major wedding pet peeves...I don't know why, and nothing against those who do like them...they just aren't for me. That being said, what are the alternatives? I thought about small nosegays for them, but they won't be in the processional, and where would they put them when they go up to do their readings?
I'm really at a loss on this one and would appreciate any ideas!!!!!
