We’re team green, but I’m starting to get some nesting vibes and I was researching rugs for the nursery.
I want something that’s mostly gray (we have pale green walls). I am drawn to bold graphic patterns.
Some of the rugs that are jumping out at me have bold floral patterns. Great if we end up having a girl, but is it a definite “no” for a boy?
Some of the ones I like are below:

Nursery decorations are really for the parents. If you like it, I say go for it. Plus, a rug doesn’t really dominate a room’s theme. FWIW, I really like the green one.

The top two are both great. Carpet’s not going to emasculate an infant!

I like them all! And flowers are beautiful – I want to raise my sons to see beauty in nature! Also I was raised in a household where my dad (who is an alpha male type and VERY secure in that) is the one who would cry when he was given a really thoughtful gift, and he LOVES getting flowers (carnations are his favourite) on special occasions… So I’m used to non-traditional gender roles I guess!

I think the samples you showed are very appropriate for either gender. Go for it.

@ExcitedScaredBee: I’m with all the “brown green” lovers. I think it’s beautiful and the most “masculine” of them.

I like the grey & white and green and brown examples….I dont think these kind of flowers are ‘girly’ at all- I like the idea I say go for it!

I love all of the rugs you posted. They are all gender neutral to me:)))
