Some great purples that are widely available in the midwest in August are:  allium (very unusual, one of my faves), dahlias (beautiful deep purples),lavender, campanula, lilac, delphinium, foxglove, freesia (lovely scent), heather, iris,

Carnations, chrysanthemum, hydrangea, dianthus and lisianthus all available in both purple/lavender and white.

Gardenias and calla lilies in white.

Honestly, you couldn’t have picked a better time to find white and purple flowers in Chicago!  August is top blooming time with some spactacular colors!

We’re using roses, dahlias and hydrangea, among other types, in bright reds, oranges, light greens and dark purples.

An easy filler that comes in ever color under the sun and is very inexpensive is Astrolomeria.

Ok, so I am wondering the same thing. My wedding is in August and my colors are blue and white. Preferrably something similar to sky blue. I don’t know much about flowers and I have never even been to a wedding, so any help on in season flowers would help a lot! Thank you!
