How much did you pay for flowers (bridal bouquet, BM bouquet, boutonierres and table decor)?
I just got quoted $6000 for 4 bridesmaids, no boutonierres and 17 tables and I’m just wondering if that’s an average price or WAYYYYY too high.

My floral centrepieces were part of a package at our reception venue, but I was quoted upwards of $180 per bouquet and around $15 per bout.

That. Is. Insane.
So that’s 22 arrangements (1 bride, 4 BMs + 17 tables) at about $270 each. Unless they are really, really elaborate that is crazy.
(I can’t quote my exact amount because (a) it was 20+ years ago, (b) someone else paid, and (c) she bought the flowers and then we did the arrnagements and (d) we also had flowers for the church. But it was nothing, nothing like that).

I’m a Sydney bride 🙂
For $1700 including delivery to my house (bouquets), ceremony set up and reception setup I am getting
1 x brides bouquet
3 x bridesmaids bouquet
7 x boutonierres
2 x large alter arrangements
2 x white stands for the arrangements
10 x guest table centerpieces
4 meters of assorted vases for bridal table spread along the length
1 x throw away bouquet
Flowers for cake
Flowers that I’m getting are
– David Austin roses
– Garden roses
– Greenery/some berries for texture

@thisisbrucebanner: Get another quote. Bridal bouquet was $180 for roses, medium size. Not buying any other flowers as I have made them in silk. Table arrangement is being provided by the venue.
My neice paid $1500 for 3 bridesmaids, 1 flower girl, 8 bouts, her bouquet, corsarges for MOB and MIL and a flower for each place setting. Plus two floral arrangements for the church. Tables were decorated with candles.

Yeahhhh I thought so. I mean, she did include a lot of decor as well. But the set up/take down fee came up to about $1000!!!!

I think it depends on a lot of factors. When I was planning a wedding in Australia (we opted to do a DW instead) I did get quotes upwards of $5K but I am in a capital city and wanted specific flowers.
Op are you in Melbourne or Sydney (this will hike up the prices)? Did you ask for exotics (orchids, specific roses like brazillian or a specific colour or out of season flowers)? Are the centrepieces elaborate as Paula1248 mentioned?

I’m in Perth. I mean I’ve lived in Melbourne before this and I find thatPerth IS a lot more expensive with everything, but i don’t know it this is the case with weddings as well.
ThaT said, I gotta be honest with you -the work these guys produce are MILES better than any thing else I’ve seen in expos and whatnot
And I asked for seasonal flowers (though my mum did butt in at one point to say she wanted peonies and David austins)

@thisisbrucebanner: If they are popular/really good at their job, again that will influence their prices. Good old supply and demand.
