I’m turning to you for help with my flowers! We are getting married six weeks from today (Eeeeek!!!!) and I’m totally lost on the flowers (which I’m planning on doing mostly on my own). I’m doing sunflowers for the main flower, but I’m trying to come up with ideas for flowers that will look good with them! Our colors are clover green and sunshine yellow, but the groom will be wearing some shades of light purple and blue (it sounds weird but I promise, it looks FANTASTIC!). I can’t decide if I need to stay neutral (whites, yellows, and greens) or if I could throw in a splash of something bold to tie in with his and the other men’s colors.
Oh and, if it helps, we are having an early afternoon wedding with a casual reception, so we are not aiming for anything too formal.
Any suggestions, pictures, or feedback would be greatly appreciated — I need some help here! 🙂

Oh I LOVE sunflowers. There aer 5 sunflower fields just down the road from my house and I get happy every time I drive by. It’s also our state flower! I think you could add some roses or greenery in with the sunflowers. I would keep the secondary flowers smaller so they don’t compete with the sunflowers and you don’t have an overwhelming bouquet. I googled wedding bouquet with sunflowers and it brought up a lot of great pictures!

Aw thanks eeh!
I actually did that google search, found a picture I love (which led to another search), and long story short…I found a beautiful wedding box with sunflowers, snapdragons, and solidago! They were so gorgeous that I placed an order on the spot — no more flower searching for me! Thanks for the inspirational lead!

I did sunflowers as my main flower for my wedding. For centerpieces, I had sunflowers in watering cans with some hypernicum berries and wheat stalks. For my bouquet, I did sunflowers, yellow roses and yellow billy buttons tied with blue ribbon. I loved them and sunflowers were so easy to work with for DIY centerpieces and bouquets.
