I was searching on the internet for someplace to have one done, since a photog was charging around $1k for it and that is a considerable amount of money. I found this place and was wondering if anyone had any good/bad comments on it? The quality looks nice…they have the thick board pages that I was looking for, kind of like zookbinders. I checked out the others I’ve heard of, mpix, blurb etc and didn’t see anything I was looking for. Thoughts?
Thanks a bunch!

We did this for our sign-in book using our engagement photo. We have only like 8 pages and it was $200. Our photographer got it done through one of his sources.

That’s a great price–way cheaper than album vendors. I’d be a little on the wary side, and make sure that everything’s archival quality, check the papers/printers being used, check the cover materials (grade of leather, etc.). Ask LOTS of questions.
If you do go with them, I’d be curious to hear what you think. That they’re so much cheaper than the vendors I use, *and* that I’ve never heard of them… Just be careful, and find as many reviews as you can!

I am planning on having mine done at Bay Photo, which is a local photo print shop here.

The company your photographer is going through likely charges $700+ wholesale for that album if it has any sort of substantial number of pages or luxury cover materials. But, they are incredible quality (at least, my photographers’ are, and since i’m a photographer, I know her source and their pricing). I think you get what you pay for with these things!
