So i just want to see what you all think…
I have been feeling a fluttering feeling in my lower stomach for the past week now, off and on. I have been having my period like normal each month. nothing out of the ordinary. I am over-weight, 5’1″ 175 lbs. not sure if that has anything to do with it… but i have no idea what this is. i really dont think im pregnant but i havent taken a pregnancy test yet. just kinda freaked out…
Has anyone else experience something like this before?

Sort of like a twinging feeling? I have had that too, I usually think it’s my ovaries doing something. I really doubt you are pregnant, you wouldn’t be feeling a baby move that quickly.

@SarahSmilesDec28: That’s what I was going to say too. I get this sometimes too and it feels really weird, but I’ve always just assumed it’s gas.

I really didnt think i was pregnant, i know you cant feel anything until about 13 weeks… i was thinking it was gas, but it was just strange that it just started a week ago… and i havnt changed my diet in anyway… i guess it could be something with my ovaries but still very strange to start all the sudden…
Thank you for putting my mind at ease 🙂

It could be a lot of different things, but nothing particularly worrisome comes to mind. Often fluttery or tingly feelings come from the involuntary part of your nerve system. Chiropractors are specially trained to correct any problems with the nerve system (in addition to keeping your spine healthy, they also keep your nerve system healthy). I would go get checked if I were you, just to see if they find anything interfering with your nerves and causing this feeling! Good luck! If you need help finding a safe, gently, effective chiropractor in your area, let me know and I would be glad to help! (I’m a chiropractic student and we have a ton of alumni that have been helping people get well all over the country!)

I had this a while back. It lasted, on and off, for a couple of weeks and then stopped. Never found out what it was. It wasn’t pregnancy, although I had hoped it would be.

I got a fluttery/butterfly feeling in my stomach and I WAS pregnant. (8 weeks) GAH!
I was on BC too. Better just double-check!

It doesn’t hurt to check but I get that a lot and it’s usually gas. I usually take a charcoal pill and it goes away pretty quickly.

@SandyDollHair: you have officially freaked me out LOL, i am going to stop on my way home and get a test…. we talked about trying and were going to start but i never stopped my birth control, and we decided we were going to wait, since we really cant afford to to have a baby right now anyway…. i really hope im not pregnant!
Im sure most of you know how it is, i do WANT a baby, but cant afford to give him/her what they need, and the attention they deserve, at this time.
