@Hot_Sauce:  Oh god, that’s terrible, I’m SO SORRY!! 🙁 I’d be having a meltdown too.

But stay strong, you know what they say “everything happens for a reason”. Maybe there’s something better out there!

It’s sad when ppl make mistakes, but well….they do 🙁 Mind you, that’s a pretty huge mistake!

Oh my!  How frustrating. I would take this as a sign of thibgs to come, and get out now while you still have the chance!

As for Save the Dates already being sent, people undersrand that s**t happens and sometimes venues change. We had a similar isssue at the start of our planning but ignored it and then we got to 5 months before our wedding and we had nothing confirmed with our venue, not even a wine list! I had a meltdown and we cancelled, but couldn’t find another place we liked and could afford on such short notice,  so we ended up having to cancel everything and reschedule for 6 months later. Point of my story is that the service will likely get worse, not better, and you can always print out cute little postcards on Vista print saying you made an oopsie, or if you have nerd friends, make it a 404 wedding not found error.

Wow, unbelieveable!  Glad you were able to find a new venue.. make sure to call your bank to cancel those outstanding checks so that they never get cashed!!

@Hot_Sauce:  It sounds like this poor man has a bit of dementia, so I would not trust my wedding plans to him.  If he is ill, he can’t help but make mistakes and you don’t want to be dealing with that for your wedding.  I’d find a new venue.

I just saw your update- you did the right thing!  A new venue is the best solution in this situation.  Congratulations!

@Hot_Sauce:  Yay!  Definitely the best option for you as this man clearly isn’t up to the job.  Make sure you cancel the checks you’ve sent to him!!
