Weddingbee boards

I absolutely love my reception venue, but the chairs they have are the crappy metal folding chairs...you know...the ones that you used in your church basement with all of the paint chipping off.  I would really like to rent chairs, but that's pretty pricey.  I also thought about using chair covers, but I don't think we can afford that either.  My FI and I are on a really tight budget (under $7,000).  Any suggestions?

It's $7000 TOTAL...we're on an extremely tight budget.  3,000 is going to food, 600 to the reception venue, 600 to DJ, 500 to photographer, Ceremony site is free (my father works for the church), 300 for the cakes, 500 for decorations, flowers are free (FI step-aunt is a florist), 500 for the musicians...so far, that leaves 1000 for all rentals (including all table settings, linens, etc...)  It's tight, but we can do it.  It's nice knowing so many people in the business.  We're friends with our caterer, photographer, DJ, musicians, florist, and we even have a local artist helping design the space...but I just can't seem to figure out what to do with those chairs.  I have looked into renting, but it's still pretty expensive...and after all is said and done...my stubborn FI hates the look of chair covers.  GRrrr
