While I’m comfortable wearing flats for my formal pics, I’m also comfortable wearing sneakers. Since it’s too cold for flip flops and I hate boots, I’m left with sneakers as my only option for my casual look. Is it okay? They’re black and you don’t notice them too much because my jeans are long enough to cover them.
And before anyone asks, wearing the flats with my jeans would look weird. It’s not skinny jeans, but regular boot cut jeans.

I don’t think flats look weird with boot cuts jeans. Skinny jeans are only a recent trend, and before then everyone wore flats with bootcut jeans.
I don’t think sneakers would look bad, nothing wrong with being casual if the rest of your outfit is casual.

I found some examples of engagement photos with sneakers. Most of the time it seems to be Converse and a very on purpose look. But honestly, i dont think anyone would notice
And on the flip side, flats with boot cut jeans (which i wear a lot!)

@BeeRod527: what kind of sneakers? Are they super cute? I think any shoe will work with an outfit if you’ve put thought into it. It may not be ideal, but it may not be an eyesore either!

@letigre: I wish I own a pair of Converses. It’s just your basic black Nikes.
However, since the rest of the outfit is a tank/cardigan sweater/boot cuts, flats might actually look good. It’s just it’s a little long so I tend to role a bit of my jeans up (thus wearing jeans with them).

I wore white flats with a blue & white striped summer dress, then changed outfits and wore Converse sneakers, boot cut jeans & a tank top for my engagement pics & new custom Converse sneakers for my wedding! Love the look 🙂

I think it would be fine but I also think flats and jeans would be fine. I wore chucks and toms for pictures. Not sure I would wear just plain running shoes but if that is what you have, its what you have.
