Daizy914: Jealous. That porch and backyard combo sounds amazing. Also, separate baby’s room that’s not a closet. So happy it worked out!

Daizy914:  I’m right with you – Manhattan! Even $2000 – $2200 is dirt cheap. most of my friends pay $3000 if not $4000 for their places

Daizy914:

Toronto is ridiculously expensive and the homes are very small. The condos are like shoeboxes.

I suppose this is to be expected when we live in Canada’s largest city.

We are buying in 2017 but it will only be a small townhouse because that is all we can afford.

Oh well…we won’t be having children so a four bedroom house would be a waste of money for us.

This made me feel pretty lucky to have a 2 bed/2 full bath for $795 a month. We live in Orlando, FL. I could NOT imagine paying $1700 in rent!!! Thats outrageous to me, nonetheless the other amounts listed!!! We bring home just under $3000 a month after taxes so we literally couldn’t afford anything else. I am also not wanting to rush into buying a home, I don’t really see the point in it. My FI on the other hand, does want to do that. So we will cross that bridge when we have to. Congrats on finding a good place!!!
