I have posted previously about having one wedding band for work, separate from my wedding set. I thought I would have to get a different wedding band to wear without my engagement ring, but after trying on my wedding band (from my wedding set), I think it actually looks quite nice alone. It is designed to sit with my e-ring.. so could I please have a vote. Who thinks the wedding band looks nice by itself, who thinks it just doesn’t look right?

It looks great to me! My only concern would be that if you wanted a separate one, that suggest to me that you’ve got some wear and tear issues with wearing it to work, so a plain band might be a more practical choice.

I think it looks really unique and interesting and why spend more money – you could just wear that one!
What line of work do you do that you can’t wear your ering?

I love the look! It is so unique and elegant. Don’t think twice about this wedding band.

I think it looks cool alone!

Thanks ladies! Im going to be a doctor so I’m worried about a few things. My set has 3 separate rings to it. I think it’ll be too much to wear when I’m at the hospital. I’m worried about loosing them if I wear the whole set (because I’m sure I’ll have to take them off at some stage). Also, I’m going to have to wash/disinfect my hands 100 times a day, so I’m concerned about the effects it might have on the gold. And of course, I’m sure I’ll have to handle gross things, so I don’t want them getting filthy.
A plain band might be More practical though. I’ll see how I go, just wanted to know if this looked okay 🙂
Thanks for the oppinions ladies!

@engagedandinlove: I think it looks great on it’s own. But that being said if you don’t want it getting all gross, ect. while at work just get a plain band. You could even get a sterling silver one that is super cheap.

@engagedandinlove: Hi, I think it looks fine on it’s own, but just a quick question – are you allowed to wear a band with stones in on the ward? Only asking because when I go onto a ward we’re only allowed to wear one plain band with no stones. i bought a cheap, plain gold band and wear that. Obviously different countries have different rules though so you might be fine 🙂

@louonline: Well, I think they may be fine with e-rings and wedding bands because a registrar that was looking after me on the wards one day was wearing her three stone e-ring with a plain wedding band. But it may depend what ward I’m on I guess. I’m actually planning to eventually be a GP-obstetrician so I think once that happens it’ll be fine to wear my rings on a daily basis to the clinic and just take them off when I need to.
