Whenever I would do any searches related to weddings, a post would pop up from weddingbee. When I started thinking about how I would style my hair for the wedding day, I did another search and weddingbee popped up again! This time, I found a post by Mrs. Swan.
In the post, Mrs. Swan detailed how difficult it may be to style her locs for the big day. I thought, WOW! You too, girl?!? I saved the pics Mrs. Swan posted in relation to her hair and kept moving through other sites. I also found a great deal of info about DIY projects, STDs and invites. But I still didn't join weddingbee.
I did ANOTHER search for Black brides and guess what popped up? A link to Mrs. Swan's blog. I browsed through and read about her wedding and her GORGEOUS hairstyle for her wedding day. I found other posts by Mrs. Swan about her search to find an adequate representative of Black brides, her wedding day hair woes and much more.
What really made me join weddingbee was the response Mrs. Swan got about her posts. They were positive and encouraging.
I can't even explain how hard it has been to find a place where I can go to read about African-American/Black brides and their quest to plan the perfect wedding.
Well, here I am!
