I booked most of my vendors at least a year ago, some of them even longer.  I definitely want to follow up with them at some point before the wedding, especially since we changed venues last year.  I also need to confirm/correct arrival times with them since a lot of that was up in the air when we booked.

So now that I'm 6 months out, when is a good time to contact them?  Now?  3 months out?  1 month?

I would contact now to be sure, especially since you changed your venue location.  I would just shoot them a quick email to confirm.  I completely forgot to confirm all my vendors right before the wedding but I didn't have any problems with people not coming.

    Contact them now

Also..........don't ever feel weird or embarressed. These people deal with brides for a living so they are used to people double and triple checking. It's just part of the job. :-)

I would contact them now, especially since a venue change is something they should be aware of sooner than later (ie. may effect delivery times, the order in which they deliver things, how long they need to set up, etc.).  It does not hurt to be proactive.  Also, sometimes it can be hard to get ahold of them...especially because we are into the big wedding season now.

I would also say to contact them now, especially since you changed your venue so they have everything updated and correct.  Just tell them you are checking in, let them know about the venue change and ask them when they would prefer you give them further details or meet with them.

Contact now and then 1 month or 6 weeks before. I know people  might be like "that crazy bride called AGAIN" but that's what we do :)
