DH and I picked him up after work today. He’s so perfect. His foster mom said he was a huge cuddlebug, and she wasn’t lying. He wants to be on top of us or next to us as much as often. He’s sleeping on my feet now. We were also been warned that he would spend the entire first night or two crying, which makes perfect sense, but he hasn’t cried at all. This has to be the easiest transition for a puppy EVER.
We decided aginst all the names I posted in my first thread with the poll. None of them really spoke to both of us. We decided pretty soon after we got home that he’s a Dudley, though.
Anyway, I know all of you are just reading this thread to see photographic evidence that our little Dudders is, in fact, the most adorable dog ever, so here the pictures are. I know you’ll agree that he really is just that adorable!
His foster mom already has him mostly crate trained, which is pretty fabulous. We put him down in the family room, he looked around for no more than a couple seconds, saw the open door of his new crate, and he went running inside. He knew exactly where he belonged.
“Wait, so you’re saying this whole yard is all mine??? Really? Will the yard give me belly rubs, too?’
Getting adopted is hard work. After spending a bit of time outside, he wandered over to where DH was putting together our new grill. He flopped over onto DH’s foot and passed out hardcore. He was snoring in no time.
The cats are SO CURIOUS.
The kitten is by far the most curious, but I think he’s somewhat scared of her. She’s scared of him, too.
I really think we may have gotten a narcoleptic dog. I took him outside to pee one last time tonight, and this happened. I kept poking him, and he just wouldn’t wake up. He’s a sleepy boy!
He now has the hiccups, and it might just be the most adorable thing I’ve ever witnessed. <3<3<3<3<3
