I’m DIY’ing my invitations. Attached is our monogram – the font for that is BlairMdITC TT-Medium. I need a “fancy” but modern font for our names and then a matching font for the text of our invitation. I was thinking of Lucidia Calligraphy but not sure if that really works. I’ve loved some of the other scripts but my Fiance is a “II” and the capital I’s in many of the script fonts look strange. Also many of them are very swirly which doesn’t really go with the monogram or modern feel of our invites. Thanks in advance for the advice!!!

I would use a fancier script and just change the font to a more straight-forward one for “II”. I just did that on my rehearsal dinner invites when the ‘T’ was hard to read. 😉

That is an incredibly cute monogram! I have not seen a ton of modern looking ones that I like, but thats fabulous!

If you don’t like the way the II looks in one font, just swap it out for a different font than the rest of his name. As long as the fonts are similar width, etc, no one will know.
