Our wedding is set for 2:00pm on a Saturday, with the reception starting around 3:00 or 3:30 and ending around 6pm. I’m slightly worried that I won’t have enough food for everyone (expecting around 120 people). We are definitely on a budget for our wedding, but does this menu sound like enough of a variety?
Fruit trays with dip
Veggie trays with dip
chicken salad sandwiches
deviled eggs (I’m from the South–we love our deviled eggs!)
sweet and unsweet tea

I think that sounds like a very nice menu for a 3PM reception.

Would throwing in lemonade put you over budget? Not everyone likes tea or coffe. Lemonade flavored koolaid is even fine, just slice up lemons to dress it up a little. In my family I am the only tea drinker and no one drinks water (very unhealthy people I know!). Other than that looks perfect. 😀

that sounds yummy – what about lemonade and could you add some yummy summer fruit trays (im not familiar with your region) or maybe some plain salad sandwiches for your vegetarians

I also am having an afternoon reception (& the same amount of people too) and I have been struggling with what to serve my guests. Thank you for sharing your menu! Mine is very similar with the exception of the crackers & the deviled eggs. 🙂
