What about a brunch buffet? Do things like omelets, muffins, danishes, etc.

dippers for the chocolate fountain: cubes of pound cake, crinkle potato chips, bananas, pretzels, strawberries, long pirouette

i would head to costco and get some of their muffins and pastries.  they have the trays of croissants, assorted mufins, apple danish twists, and they recently started selling this yummy bread with cream cheese and fruit called mayorca suprema.

i would also bake a bunch of quiches.  they can be made ahead of time and tastes great at room temp.  and i love spanish omelets (tortilla espanola).

what kind of drinks were you thinking?

I would definitely go more brunch style. Personally I wouldn’t want a chocolate fountain at 9:30am even though I have a huge sweet tooth. I think the pastries, muffins, etc would be a great idea. I love the idea of quiches too.
