I originally didn't register for a food processor, but have since decided that I MUST have one. I can't decide what to get - I don't want to go too fancy/expensive (I feel like I already have quite a few relatively big ticket items on the registry) but want quality. Any suggestions on a quality, but affordable food processor for the needs of an aspiring domestic goddess?

Cuisinart is probably the best quality you'd get for a lower price tag. Don't go under 7 cups, and honestly, that's too small for me!

We registered for a KitchenAid 7 cup food processor.  I think it's right at $100.  I used to work for KitchenAid, so I am really partial to their products.  They are great quality and will last you a really long time.  Plus, they come in fun colors!  :) They also have a 5 cup and a 3 cup, I believe.

I've also heard the magic bullett is great.  It's small, so if you need a larger one, it probably won't work for you.  My brother's gf has one and said it's perfect for just her and my brother.

    Hope this helps!

I got a Cuisinart 7 cup food processor for Christmas and I LOVE it!  Don't get one of the small ones, even if you don't think you'll use it for much.  Once you have one, you'll be surprised what you use it for!

I def use my Food Processor! We needed a new blender as well so I wanted a dual so that it takes up less counterspace! The food processor portion is only 3 cups  Frown but the blender is 7 cups. And I have a immersion blender as well so I would use that for bigger jobs.

    Thanks everyone!

I really appreciated your advice - I had been considering one of the smaller 3-cup processors but after reading your posts, I'm definitely going to go for a larger one. Here's what I decided on:

Cuisinart Prep Plus 11-cup Food Processor in Brushed Stainless:

Only $170 on our Amazon.com registry! Yay!
