We are getting ready to attend our tasting this weekend, and are considering turning our favorite foods turned into food stations. Such as my all time favorite, MAC AND CHEESE BAR. * Pause for drooling *
Are any of you doing the same either at cocktail hour/or for dinner? If so what are they/are how are you presenting them?

I’m not but I have been to a wedding that had a pasta station. They would cook the pasta in a frying pan and you pick the sauces/meats or toppings you want in. I loved it!

We are having stations and I love the idea since I really don’t like having to sit for the whole meal! We are having:
- carving station with prime rib, ham and turkey. mashed potatoes ang veg on the side
- sushi station
- risotto station with a really yummy mushroom risotto that I am looking forward to but 3 different kinds in all
- dumpling station with 4 different kinds served in the cute bamboo steamers
And I think that is it unless we add more. We’ll have to see how many people RSVP yes cause pricing jumps when you add more of course.

I think a nacho bar would be really cool, and an ice cream bar. I read a board a while back of a bee doing a mashed potato bar, which sounded weird but scrumptious 🙂
what kind of stuff will you have at your mac n cheese bar? It sounds fun and yummy

All these ideas are amazing, I might have to do a few trial runs, as all these pictures are making me hungry!
@ baletrina- I had never thought of a risotto bar, and it’s a great idea! Mushroom risotto is one of my all time favs, after mac and cheese of course, and it would be something people most likely have never tried. Yum!
@missnerdy-Nacho bar sound odd but delicious. If done in the right way, I’m sure everybody would love it! I may have to steal this idea!
I dreamed this up after hearing the only option for my favorite food, of fried mac and cheese our venue offered for appetizers. Thought this would be a lot more fun, and delicious, even though it was significantly higher in price.
We have a list of toppings to try this weekend at our tasting, including,
and lots and lots of cheese!
Here are my inspiration pics….

We had a mashed potato bar for my sister’s engagement party. We rented the martini glasses(though someone took one home! hmmmmm….) and bought the potatoes from Sam’s Club. People are still talking about it, 4 years later!!
