- Wedding: October 2013
Hey Bees –
I wanted to know your opinion on the below and if anyone found a way to work around it…
So I went to a wedding last night .. cocktail hour from 7-8:30… the food stations were entirely too far seperated on ends of the room and there were LINES! Uh, there is nothing more I hate that lines at food stations!.. I made a mental note to try and avoid this at my wedding if at all possible. Ok so everyone eats up all the yummy cocktail hour food.. you walk into the main room.. and there putting another course down.. then shortly after the salad… and then its 11:30 by the time your finally eatting dinner.. Who can possibly be hungry???? I feel like it such a waste of all the food pre dinner ( not cocktail hour) but all the stuff in between, my dinner looked really good but I wasnt even hungry for it.
I know I have heard more people are doing full on cocktail hours for the entire ceremony. would love to hear first hand how this worked out.. if people liked it..? Did you like your choice?.. Or has anyone come up with a better alternative to the constant food overload!..
(dont get me wrong either, there is nothing I will love more than feeding my guests yummy food all night long, just hate the fact that so much gets wasted on full bellys!
