- Wedding: March 2014
You guys have been such a great help so far with advice. I’m TWO weeks away from my wedding and making last minute decisions. Pretty excited and it feels surreal!
We are having a food truck come to our wedding towards the end of the night. It will serve empanadas (yum!) to guests. Our reception ends at midnight (starts at 6:30 with cocktails before moving to dinner at 7:15 for reference).
We will serve dinner, cake and ice cream at some point during the night.
We have considered doing a send off for photo op reasons with sparklers, and because the back of our venue has a private garden that they will let us use so we kind of want to take advantage of getting guests out there briefly.
That’s the long background to ask if you think we should either:
1) Have the food truck come at 10:30/10:45, serve, leave, and get guests back inside for dancing, etc, then come out at around midnight again for a send off
2) Have the food truck come at midnight, serve food, and do a send off as people are finishing up munching on their snack.
What makes more sense to you? I’m in Chicago=should be kind of chilly, but I dont think most people will mind for a few minutes with their coats on either way.
