I loved this concept as well and looked into it.  The ones I called in the DC area all had minimums of about $500+, and a $200 or so event fee.  In the end, we went with a BBQ restaurant, but the food trucks would have been so fun!

how many people at your wedding?  300 hundered and under you’re looking at one food truck not food trucks.  They are not going to go to an event with a small attendence to compete for buisness.

you’d likely only have 1 food truck to serve everyone for a wedding.

it can’t hurt to look into them to see what the fee is.

i know they do private events.

This is one of the most unique trends I’ve ever seen. It allows complete personalization of the event!! Even if you don’t do the full dinner via food truck you can always do just the dessert to keep the effect! I have my eye on a coffee cart for my wedding. It’s coffee and dessert that travels around outdoor reception for guests.

@ashleedms057:  I went to one back in June. I loved the idea and the food was good but the wait was LONG. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, it’s just the nature of one truck with a small staff serving a large group of people with a constant flow. I’m not sure how you avoid that.

People ended up waiting a long time and getting pretty drunk and/or cranky.

I went to a wedding with a Taco Truck in August.  It was cute, but it was not enough food.  Especially since they didn’t have a cocktail hour.
