jpr:  I just found out a couple of days ago that I need hip surgery pretty badly. I’ve been dealing with pain and doctors and tests and needles and argh for about a year and a half now, and I finally got a solution!!!!!!!

My doctor said it’d take me 3 or 4 months to recover, my wedding is in 3 months and a few days. So of course I decided to stick with my plan and get surgery after the honeymoon. I only limp if I don’t take my meds so as long as I take something the day of, I’ll be fine.

I’m wearing flats for obvious reasons…… And they seem really comfortable. I got them from dessy.com and here is a picture. Good luck!!!!!!!

jpr:  We are beach people so the only destinations that came to mind were beachy. We decided to do 10 nights in Bora Bora. It is a dream destination for the 2 of us and we are more excited about that, than the wedding itself. It’ll be nice to relax by the water and do absolutely nothing for almost 2 weeks. We are going right after the wedding so I’ll proably go under the knife sometime in November, maybe December. Which as shitty as that sounds, for me it means holidays off. So I’ll deal 😉

Dessy has closed toe flats too. You’ll like them 🙂

I got a stress fracture in my foot 6 weeks before my wedding. Thankfully my doctor diagnosed it quickly and I was strapped into a boot for the month before the wedding and able to wear my shoes (although they were just low heels- maybe 1&  1/2 inches) Then I was back in the boot for our Vegas honeymoon and a couple of weeks after.  We were originally going to the Grand Canyon but the government shut-down changed that- probably a good thing since we did less walking in Vegas. I was freaking out before the wedding though- but my doctor promised me I’d be able to wear my shoes and he came through!

I wish you both the best of luck with your surgeries and hopefully you’ll be pain free soon!!
