I just got my first RSVPs back in the mail today and 4 out of 9 did NOT have names on them! people just left the line blank! I am so glad that I used a blacklight pen or else I would totally be stressing right now!

Oh, man. I was just thinking about this sort of thing. What kind did you use and where did you get it?

A black light pen? Never heard of it…where did you write the names at? And you can’t see it at ALL unless its under the light? What a great back up idea to people that don’t put names on the RSVP. I might have to do this!

This is an amazing idea! I’d been wondering how to number them without offending someone that they got ‘invite 153.’ Weeee black light pen!

This is the one that I bought from http://www.dealextreme.com:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/invisible-ink-pen-88 It was only $1.30 with free shipping, but it took like 3 weeks to get to me – Pretty sure the company is from Hong Kong. I’m happy with it though! Basically you write with one end and the other end is a little black light. It works perfectly – you can’t see it at all once it dries.
I just made an excel sheet with every guests name on it that was getting an invite & numbered each guest….then I wrote that number on their rsvp card, so when I get one back that has no name, I can check it with the blacklight and match it to the excel sheet. I guess you can just write their name on the rsvp card, but I didn’t have much room, so the numbers worked best for me.
I heard they have them at office depot or office max for like $5, but I don’t see it on their website, so I’m not sure!

Not something I ever would have thought of! I’m planning to do online RSVPs, but this is a great tip.
