Hey!! Glad your gma is okay!!! Where did/does she live in Joplin? Me and my twin sister were in the Wal-Mart on 15th Street when it got hit, soooo lucky to walk out and be okay. Lots of clean up to do in Joplin, it's crazy how much help and support ppl are willing to give in times of need. Glad to be apart of this community even now that it doesn't have much to offer : )

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I know you probably don't have access to a computer right now but I want to express how sorry I am that you had to go through what you've just been through.
3 years ago on Memorial weekend my town Parkersburg Iowa was destroyed by a tornado as well. It was one of the scariest things I've ever been through and I know first hand how you feel when you come out of the basement or whatever shelter you took and find that you no longer have a house, a car or a town. I had my twins with me who at the time were 3 and I was more scared for my families safety than the possessions. My oldest son was at his dad's house and missed the tornado thankfully, he was 5 1/2 at the time.
My grandma lives in Joplin and she is ok her house has minimal damage so she was very lucky.
I just wanted to let any brides or others know that I am here to listen if you want to talk about what you went though. Like I said I know first hand how it feels to have your house/town leveled by a tornado in less than a minute. Just message me and I'll give whatever advice and comfort I can. Just know that you aren't alone and things will get better in time. I have a plaque hanging in my new living room that I bought after the tornado that says "The Most Important Things in Live aren't Things".
Again sooo sorry for your losses and tragedy.
